RWG Needs Your Support - upgrade to a VIP/Supporter membership! If you find your time here to be useful and (we hope) entertaining, we encourage you to become a VIP/Supporter member. This only costs £21 (a little under $30 USD dependent on exchange rates) per annum and all proceeds go towards our hosting costs and making RWG the best watch board around. By becoming a supporter you will also gain a number of benefits including: 1. If you subscribe during one of our VIP upgrade competitions (announced above the shoutybox on the board index page and also found in our competitions subforum), then you could win a nice watch (usually a high-quality rep). We run these competitions approximately monthly, so keep your eyes open for the next one. You will also get access to our free birthday VIP giveaways - you could win a strap, watch tools or even a watch (there have been some amazing prizes including gen Longines, Raymond Weil, Hamilton and Victorinox watches, along with various high-end reps!) 2. Early access to the Member Sales area (see the sales area for rules) and the ability to bump your sale to the top of the board periodically. 3. Access to the supporters-only section of the board. 4. Increased PM storage 5. The ability to change your displayed user name (once in a 90-day period). 6. Occasional discounts from some of our dealers (keep an eye on their subforums for special offers). PLEASE PM Greg_r to upgrade to VIP

  1. Problems with a Trusted Dealer: Seeking help from Mod(s)

I've suggested to the Mods that they repost this thread in the Dealer Feedback section. It's still here. Sorry, dirkhunt - I meant to quote black263: On 9/14/2017 at 15:30, black263 said: What hasn't helped was posting this in Scams. This immediately gets our backs up, as a TD doesn't scam.
  2. Problems with a Trusted Dealer: Seeking help from Mod(s)

I originally ordered a watch in late May as a gift for a friend. I inquired whether it was available (Josh's website indicated that he had five of them in stock). I received an affirmative answer and paid. A week later (in early June) I was informed that the watch was not available, but that a 'similar' model was. I replied that I was not interested in the model proposed and asked for a refund. There followed three months of laconic one-sentence replies each time I re-requested the refund: "I will see to it"; "Cannot find payment details" (it was and still is on my account details on his website); "Will attend to this"; repeated over three months. Then out of the blue, "We are shipping your watch!" Huh? This after repeatedly stating that I did not want the replacement model and to refund the original purchase price. By this time, I had the feeling that I was dealing with some kind of nonsensical Bot designed to drive me nuts and to ultimately give up. I did not give up. Next message some days later: "We cannot cancel order, watch is being shipped." When I protested for the zillionth time that I did not want said watch, I was told to return it after delivery. I was given a name and address in China (a 'Mr. Bin', which I thought was an added touch of insanity) and sent it off as per instructions. It was tracked and delivered to the mysterious Mr. Bin. Still no refund. There followed another series of messages querying the Bot as to why I had not been refunded. The Bot repeatedly replied, "We have not received watch." I sent screen captures of the "Delivered" message on the tracking site. The Bot replied, "This is a 'delivery hub' and we still have not received the watch." And so on....Were it not for NickFive's (several) interventions, I would probably still be trying to reason with the Bot. I stopped collecting replicas years ago and never had a problem like this (even with TTK's legendary shipping delays and often bilious replies to "Where's my watch?"). As I said earlier, my feeling is that Josh (for years, one of the best dealers on the replica watch scene) has more or less given over the day-to day handling of his business to greedy associates, cretinous assistants or perhaps even the Bot, from whose clutches NickFive kindly saved me.

My sincere thanks to Moderator NickFive for going to bat for me with Precious Clones. Given the more than 100 messages exchanged over a four-month period to obtain a refund on a watch I never ordered, I'm not convinced that Joshua is still running the show. Be that as it may, without NickFive's help, I'd probably still be trying to obtain the refund.

Thanks for your input, but I don't quite see its relevance to my problem with Josh. Oh you will soon enough ;) and you're welcome My God! Is that you, Neil? (aka: TTK) Yeah. Can we get this wastelanded perhaps? You mean this? "April is the cruellest month, breeding Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing Memory and desire, stirring Dull roots with spring rain. Winter kept us warm, covering Earth in forgetful snow, feeding A little life with dried tubers. Summer surprised us, coming over the Starnbergersee With a shower of rain; we stopped in the colonnade, And went on in sunlight, into the Hofgarten, And drank coffee, and talked for an hour. Bin gar keine Russin, stamm’ aus Litauen, echt deutsch. And when we were children, staying at the arch-duke’s, My cousin’s, he took me out on a sled, And I was frightened. He said, Marie, Marie, hold on tight. And down we went. In the mountains, there you feel free. I read, much of the night, and go south in the winter. "....

Thanks for your input, but I don't quite see its relevance to my problem with Josh. You REALLY haven't been around much...this is the essence of RWG. Maybe you would prefer the knitting circle A.K.A. RWI. Those fellas are more of a serious upstanding type of watch enthusiasts.

  8. Problems with a Trusted Dealer: Seeking help from Mod(s)

Thank you for that: as I said, I've been totally inactive for around eight years and was unaware of this recours. Needless to say, the whole crew has changed as well as many of the then-familiar members. I shall follow your suggestion and keep everyone posted.
  9. Following the advice of Moderator NC Rich, I'm deleting my original text and appealing to the forum Mods for help in resolving an issue with a TD.
