RWG Needs Your Support - upgrade to a VIP/Supporter membership! If you find your time here to be useful and (we hope) entertaining, we encourage you to become a VIP/Supporter member. This only costs £21 (a little under $30 USD dependent on exchange rates) per annum and all proceeds go towards our hosting costs and making RWG the best watch board around. By becoming a supporter you will also gain a number of benefits including: 1. If you subscribe during one of our VIP upgrade competitions (announced above the shoutybox on the board index page and also found in our competitions subforum), then you could win a nice watch (usually a high-quality rep). We run these competitions approximately monthly, so keep your eyes open for the next one. You will also get access to our free birthday VIP giveaways - you could win a strap, watch tools or even a watch (there have been some amazing prizes including gen Longines, Raymond Weil, Hamilton and Victorinox watches, along with various high-end reps!) 2. Early access to the Member Sales area (see the sales area for rules) and the ability to bump your sale to the top of the board periodically. 3. Access to the supporters-only section of the board. 4. Increased PM storage 5. The ability to change your displayed user name (once in a 90-day period). 6. Occasional discounts from some of our dealers (keep an eye on their subforums for special offers). PLEASE PM Greg_r to upgrade to VIP

  1. Can TD's source spares yet?

When I was looking for a 3714 I wanted to buy a spare buckle and WI & TT send it wasnt possible, Asked silix and I got it no hassle, so Id probably give them a shout if I wanted any parts
  2. Planet Ocean 42mm - PEARL HELP!?!?

Is that a gap between the end links and case - and is it just me or is the 'omega' being covered by the omega logo?
  3. Anyone interested in getting an Aqua terra repped?

Did i not see a franken of this for sale on RG or RWI , think there was $4-500 in it and it looked pretty good. It had at least a gen dial, hand set and a swiss movement
  4. Rep iwc on ebay

I think maybe a qaurtz , it would take some balls to sell a qaurtz for 12k
  5. Rep iwc on ebay

Was just browsing for a gen 3714, and came across whats looks to be a rep for $12500 . Im no expert but the no. 4 on these is the big tell, along with realiability lol Item no - 300906565715
  6. are the sec@9 movement not more reliable? .
  7. This elusive DG4813...

arent these available on cousins? for £22. there is a tutorial somewhere on rwg which shows swapping a 21j out for a 4813 im sure
  8. Removing Links

yeah, i got the plastic one and as soon as the pin pusher gets a tiny bit of resistance the whole thing bends. im just using the black, a pusher tool and small hammer, much prefer that to the pusher.
  9. Seconds @ 6....IWC specifically

Getting an iwc 3714 that works is my mission also, i was thinking of a few things . the parnis homage isnt a chrono as far as im aware 1) could the extra wital jewels be added (by drilling a hole for it in the plate and puting gears on as they shoul) 2) could the plate that carries the mode be remade out of nylon, as the would be way less friction than metal on metal 3) could the sec@6 mod from the rolex mov. be swapped, not the hole mov, just the plate and gears for the required mod as apparently they are fairly reliable im an engineer, not a watch smith so these could be way to ham fisted, worth a shot though
  10. Rep Ray-Bans?

if you buy them from sunglasses hut your covered for 6months against for any damage to the frames only, so if you sit on them after 3 months and break the frame, take them back to them and they'll pay 50% of the replacement cost. its a sunglasses hut deal though, not rayban. i got some carbon raybans and there pretty indestructable, £190 well spent in my opinion
