  4. New week wristcheck 01/07/2013

I hate/love that Montauk Highway. I think they are ugly/beautiful and can't stand/have to have one. That watch has a seriously polarizing affect on me but in the end, it will be mine

  6. Rep buying days ... Over !

South Africa mate .... There is only one of our major banks that deal with WU and I dont have an account with them. The bank charges on a bank transfer is ridiculous, so that is not an option .... Paypal was just quick and easy .... No queues ... No Paperwork .... I could do it anywhere in the world in 1 minute .... Easy ... The way it should be ! Not sure what you mean about WU being associated with a bank. Here in AUS they are stand alone. You can send funds from South Africa to Europe and the US online through WU's website. You can link it to your Visa or MasterCard. There are TD's in these geographies. I also just had a look at the nedbank website and an international TT is R124.50 (about USD12 which is half of what we pay in Australia) so not very expansive at all. Problem? What I mean is that WU is not "stand alone" in S.A .... Agents include ABSA Bank ... I am not a customer of theirs, so to do this I would have to open an account with ABSA and pay the associated banking fees every month .... They are the only agent that offers an online option, but again you need to be a customer with an internet banking account ... More bank charges ... There is also no online option from WU's website. South Africa is not available as an option when you want to use WU to send with Visa or Mastercard directly. So you see ... All you guys living in countries that have options should never take that luxury for granted ! And I believe that is why people have no issue lodging that PP dispute and getting money back .... afterward they feel very proud that they fucked over some poor TD and not feel the effect at all. One day when he wants to buy another watch he has a choice of other payment methods ... So who cares ??? In the process other people that may even be more passionate about this hobby / watches got screwed ... BADLY ! Sorry if I sound a little pissed off .... It's probably because I am ! C I do get that you're pissed off but we are all trying to help you out including someone who's offered to act as an intermediary. In The time it's taken you to do all these screen dumps and use your big red pen you could have opened an account and net a TT online for $12. Maybe you just don't want be helped out?
  7. Rep buying days ... Over !

So the nedbank USD12 Telegraphic Transfer is not an option? It's cheaper than WU and depending on how much you send cheaper than Paypal.
  8. Rep buying days ... Over !

Just with my post above - I tried to edit but couldn't. In reference to TD's I was referring to some of them having accounts in these geographies not actual locations. Hope this stops the buzzards circling

No online WU? Which country is this? You could send a TT (Telegraphic transfer) to the bank account of the dealer if they will let you. Some of them do accept credit cards. It's not over yet my friend - there's always a way.
  11. Bank thinks transaction is fraud...

This was a credit card transaction or a telegraphic transfer? If its a CC transaction there is only so much your bank can do if the merchant has been flagged. If there is no block at your end then the merchant has a problem and you cannot influence this. Unfortunately it's not as simple as just saying "this is not fraud" to push it through. Other factors will impact as well mainly involving your geographical location and theirs and the anti money laundering laws that sit around this. Then there are the scheme rules, fraud etc etc etc to consider. Bottom line- Use Western Union
  12. Anyone have experience with bank wire ?

All that stuff about Telegrahic transfers and intermediaries is bang on. I've used WU and the exchange rates are OK but there are no intermediary or other fees so you can come out in front depending on where youre senidng funds. I was actually quite impressed and did the whole transaction online and I've been in Fin Services for 20 years. You can also choose the amount that the recipient receives so there's no inbound fees or intermediary fees. Frankly as bad as PayPal are they are the best in this space. Pity about their brutal policies around merchant chargebacks and freezing accounts.
  13. A bit bling but I like it!!!

Tarts and a Rolex Killer combination Hot! Oops! Tats and a Rolex Damn my fat fingers
  14. Got this in the mail today from Michelle

Darling-just with that shirt It's a bit "festive" if you know what I mean. It also doesn't go with a big butch watch like that
  15. when purchasing first watchnto aus

WU are everywhere in Australia. What is the issue with their website? People are often scared of WU and Money gram. These are perfectly legitimate and significant global businesses. Use with confidence
