  1. Ssteel - RepGeek - Are you buying this?

But.... but it comes with papers so it has to be gen.
  2. Selling a franken IWC (with papers) "for a customer" $3.5k http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?283919-Super-Franken-IWC-White-Dial-Watch-on-Blue-Leather-Box-amp-papers Seems to have been called out for it having rep parts. Reselling it as part gen. $2.1k http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?285651-Super-Franken-IWC-White-Dial-Watch-on-Blue-Leather-Box-amp-papers
  3. The real deal?

Open it up, only way to know for sure.
  4. Job interview: which watch would you choose?

The thing is, if you know a tiny bit about watches you know what an Omega is (probably not the model, but the brand) If you know your watches, and you see a guy interviewing with a Patek, you mention it. I certainly would. Then you know, the guy knows, it's a fake! haha
  5. THE DC REVIEW: AP Royal Oak 15202 automatic

That is how to review a watch. Brilliant contribution as always DC. :)
  6. *Going Gen* - Speedmaster, is this a good deal?

    The 1957 Broadarrow?
  7. *Going Gen* - Speedmaster, is this a good deal?

Thanks mate! I've got him to £2,700.... Decisions decisions....
  8. Fellas, I’ve got bored of having money in the bank and I’m going to buy a gen for the first time in a long time (my last being a Grand Carrera in my early 20’s – you live and learn) So, I flip watches all the time and will probably only have for a couple of months but wondering if I can get this for around the £2,700 - £2,800 mark, would this be a good deal? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272631977366?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Set aside my gen checklist requirements (un-reppable, visible movement, history) I’m thinking more about the potential resale and not losing on it. Have any of you have a nightmare reselling a gen? Is 2.7k or 2.8k a good deal for this Speedy? Ta folks.
  9. I think i need a IWC, BUT which one?

Owned a few. Trust me, with an IWC wrist size plays a massive part in the comfort of the watch. Had a 3777 & a few Big Pilots and (for me at least) just never sat right on my 7" girl wrists.
  10. Wrist Check w/c 13th February 2017

Just arrived yesterday. Latest Big Pilot 5009-12. Still unsure in all honesty, so used to wearing a tiny Sub!
  11. New Nautilus 5726 rep

And you run across Patek experts a lot in your day to day life? And they ask to see the back of your watch? I work for a very well known bank and my Financial Director, on my interview, clocked my Rolex and we ended up talking about his love of watches (namely his 2 Pateks he bought whilst at a function in Glasgow) I realise I may be an exception, but yes, as I report directly to the board during Steering meetings I do come across a lot of guys who have a passion for watches.
  12. New Nautilus 5726 rep

Shame about that sunken date and day. Thing is - People who know Patek are more often than not watch geeks like us, they notice errors like that and with tells such as the thickness, you wouldn't find me going anywhere near this model and no decorated movement plate would ever change that.
  13. Just pulled the trigger on a 500912 based solely on this review. Can't wait for it to land.
  14. New Week wrist check w/c 15 August 2016

Going retro today. Oh well, why not.
  15. No ceramic Pepsi rolex yet?

My favourite non Daytona Rolex. Has a friend who owned the gen for a short time and it really does pop like a Royal Oak
