      RWG NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT!   04/09/17

RWG Needs Your Support - upgrade to a VIP/Supporter membership! If you find your time here to be useful and (we hope) entertaining, we encourage you to become a VIP/Supporter member. This only costs £21 (a little under $30 USD dependent on exchange rates) per annum and all proceeds go towards our hosting costs and making RWG the best watch board around. By becoming a supporter you will also gain a number of benefits including: 1. If you subscribe during one of our VIP upgrade competitions (announced above the shoutybox on the board index page and also found in our competitions subforum), then you could win a nice watch (usually a high-quality rep). We run these competitions approximately monthly, so keep your eyes open for the next one. You will also get access to our free birthday VIP giveaways - you could win a strap, watch tools or even a watch (there have been some amazing prizes including gen Longines, Raymond Weil, Hamilton and Victorinox watches, along with various high-end reps!) 2. Early access to the Member Sales area (see the sales area for rules) and the ability to bump your sale to the top of the board periodically. 3. Access to the supporters-only section of the board. 4. Increased PM storage 5. The ability to change your displayed user name (once in a 90-day period). 6. Occasional discounts from some of our dealers (keep an eye on their subforums for special offers). PLEASE PM Greg_r to upgrade to VIP

  1. 2yr/4000 post Giveaway VIP Only

What a great giveaway! If I'm chosen first, I would like the Black Seal. Actually, I would take a punt on that Sekonda Navitimer knockoff, or maybe the Orange mini-monster.
  2. Makara Sea Turtle cheap Massdrop

    Here are some pics:
  3. This is the lowest price I have seen on the bronzo Sea Turtle: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/makara-sea-turtle-automatic-watch?1=1&utm_placement=16&referer=PRDZX4&mode=guest_open&utm_campaign=Automated Daily Promotional 2017-10-11&utm_source=SparkPost&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Daily Promotional&utm_content=1507719024511.573849710498337774189985 Usually $395, only $199 on the sale. Here's the specs on the manufacturer site: https://www.makarawatches.com/products/makara-sea-turtle
  4. Watch on bracelet for my son

What's the size on that Orient? It's nice looking...
  5. $2,000 worth of Apple Stock. When he hits 21, he will thank you profusely.
  6. New in from Reg

Photobucket no longer works for hosting pictures. Try the method in my sig, if you would like for your pics to be visible.
  7. That first guilloche dial is pretty.

This one came with the pubes on the outside. Interesting.
  9. Geckota Vintage Diver

Need some help emptying your drawers?
  10. Actually, I think for now I will replace the hands with a PAM blued set. That should make them much more visible.
  11. The movement seems to be a somewhat higher quality skeleton, than the normal chinese stamped bridge patterns. And the 47mm case is right in my wheelhouse.
  12. It keeps going in and out of focus, so I have to try and time the shot.
  13. This one is a 47mm (ish), so no different than the PAM's I wear. I would pay $28 all day long for good running 6497 movements.
  14. I found this poor watch sitting in a case at a local pawn shop. From the date codes on the price tag, it had been there for over 2 years. Which is why I got it under $30. It's now run over 52 hours on a single wind, and appears to be a 6497 variant. It's a spare movement at the very least for any of my closed back PAM's, since it keeps good time (-15ish seconds over those 52 hours). I wonder if I could get a Mickey to attach...
  15. Thanks to NCRich, I have an OUTSTANDING PAM 518. Lemania handwind chrono movement, sapphire crystals, and probably the prettiest PAM I have ever seen. (Sorry about the crappy photos, all I have to use is an iPhone...) And a shot with his little brown brother! Thanks to Rolie for fixing this guy up for me! I purchased this with a broken crystal, from a UK member of the homage forum. Rolie kindly accepted shipment, replaced the crystal, cleaned the glass out of the dial, and gave it a tuneup. It now runs +-2 seconds a day. Thank you sir, from the bottom of my heart! @NCRich @ROLIE
