      RWG NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT!   04/09/17

RWG Needs Your Support - upgrade to a VIP/Supporter membership! If you find your time here to be useful and (we hope) entertaining, we encourage you to become a VIP/Supporter member. This only costs £21 (a little under $30 USD dependent on exchange rates) per annum and all proceeds go towards our hosting costs and making RWG the best watch board around. By becoming a supporter you will also gain a number of benefits including: 1. If you subscribe during one of our VIP upgrade competitions (announced above the shoutybox on the board index page and also found in our competitions subforum), then you could win a nice watch (usually a high-quality rep). We run these competitions approximately monthly, so keep your eyes open for the next one. You will also get access to our free birthday VIP giveaways - you could win a strap, watch tools or even a watch (there have been some amazing prizes including gen Longines, Raymond Weil, Hamilton and Victorinox watches, along with various high-end reps!) 2. Early access to the Member Sales area (see the sales area for rules) and the ability to bump your sale to the top of the board periodically. 3. Access to the supporters-only section of the board. 4. Increased PM storage 5. The ability to change your displayed user name (once in a 90-day period). 6. Occasional discounts from some of our dealers (keep an eye on their subforums for special offers). PLEASE PM Greg_r to upgrade to VIP

  9. Don't clap so hard...

Was at the football a few weeks back and it's was a close match, I got way too excited, multiple times, too much clapping and jeering and ended up breaking the 1/2 link on my LMPO bracelet. I've got spare links but no more 1/2 links and I've hunted around next door and here for spares and on Ali for a replacement (ordered one from Lina but they sent the one that's 20mm straight not 20/18) so I'm in a bit of a pickle! Does anyone have a spare 1/2 link floating around for a 42mm PO link style bracelet? Could always do a trade for a nato or a strap or some other parts or buy you some beers! Cheers lads HC

  11. Need help with an A2824!

Yeah, that's what I thought! This is the one, looks OK to my noobish eyes and the seller has decent feedback. http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/252463361480 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. Need help with an A2824!

Thanks Gents! Ended up going with a SW200. At an extra 30 AUD I figured I may as well go swiss. I've got the parts coming for the clone too so I'll tinker with that and hopefully learn a bit in the process and not eff it up! Cheers HC
  14. Need help with an A2824!

Gen eta is a straight swap so the hands will fit on it and if my translation was correct that's a brand new elabore grade so a very good choice of Swiss ETA! Only thing I'm not 100% sure on is pinion length so weather the hands will gave the same clearance over the dial but worst case those parts can be swapped between the Swiss and the clone if necessary Thanks for the info Genius! I saw a few Seagull's floating on the bay (mind the pun) and didn't know if they were a straight swap as they state. Any idea on the model number? Is it the 2130? I also noticed the Sellita SW200 is a fair bit cheaper too - any info on that? Cheers HC
  15. Need help with an A2824!

Thinking about just dropping an Gen ETA in it and tinkering with the clone to get it back up and running. I love the Ranger and it's a keeper in my eyes so why not.. Will an gen ETA 2824-2 just drop in? Same pinion size for the hands? How does this one look? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/122040391672?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
