  1. Wrist check 6th June 2016

I love the Bulova Precisionist movement! To those not familiar with it, the second sweeps like a 28k bph, but is quartz! Time will tell (how ironic) if the movement is reliable...anyone know the predicted battery life? I just picked up a used Precisionist Longwood and was reading up on the movement. It is the smoothest sweep I've ever seen. It should be, though, ticking at 57,600 beats/hour or 16 beats/second. It's simply hypnotizing! It is hypnotic for sure! I sometimes feel like it's moving too slow or something, just so smooth!! Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

I love the Bulova Precisionist movement! To those not familiar with it, the second sweeps like a 28k bph, but is quartz! Time will tell (how ironic) if the movement is reliable...anyone know the predicted battery life? I have read that the battery is estimated to last for two years, but I'll be surprised if it makes it that long. I'm just wondering if such a high frequency electronic movement relying on a battery will sip or drink that life. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

That sir is a fine looking timepiece!!
  7. Genuine Wrist Check: February 2016

Now this Iike more info PLEZ Thanks KCore! It's my grandpa's 1948 "His Excellency" that was passed to me not too long ago. I had a good bit of trouble locating a strap, and ended up getting one that is 1mm too wide (16mm instead of 15mm). The strap is the only part not original to the best of my knowledge (other than the mainspring). Love it though, gets a ton of attention at the office!
  8. Genuine Wrist Check: February 2016

    Fresh from being serviced!
  9. Could someone direct me to the proper stem?

ROLIE, that's extremely kind of you but I'm in the US. I truly appreciate everyone's help here!
  10. Could someone direct me to the proper stem?

Thanks ROLIE! I will look into that as well if I mess the new one up too...
  11. Could someone direct me to the proper stem?

I think I may have found it on there! Just eyeballing it (which is scary), but I think its model 401-1514 on this page: http://www.esslinger.com/genuine-chinese-mechanical-replacement-watch-stem/ I'm going to order it and find out I guess!!
  12. So, I fucked this watch up royally and I am in need of a new stem...However, I have never purchased a stem in my life, so I thought I'd ask ye watch gods if you might be able to direct me to the proper one. I was able to thread that small piece out of the crown and the other piece came from the movement. Any help would be much appreciated!
  13. Two in two days

I bought a Parnis 47mm Pilot M2M on here and it's a killer watch for the dough. I added a vintage bond nato to round it out and it is pretty fresh. What strap does yours currently have?
  14. Genuine Wrist Check: February 2016

Modified Alpha sub. Just love the black and red bezel insert!
