  1. My virgin post - introduction

    Welcome Dylan!
  2. Nonsense Seiko post

I have a bunch of Seikos from the early King Seiko Hi-Beat, to the skx007 to the SARB's to the Cocktail Watch and a couple of mint vintage pieces too. They are awesome watches with a lengthy legacy, in-house movements, accurate, fairly priced, they look clean and beautiful and they work beautifully for many years. As far as I am concerned, the Swiss Brand biases are just horological snobbery. I love Swiss as well, and the REP hobby allows me to own the styles I love without breaking the bank. Although most Seikos are of better quality, fit and finish than many of my REPS. Just gave my son a Seiko Turtle for his HS graduation last week.
  3. What Was I Thinking!!

Nice looking family you proud Papa! Blessings!
  4. Elephant labia? Stripper tit? Human Grundle? Louisiana Hog Ass flap?
  5. How about 100% Genuine imported Turkey sack...?
  6. My thoughts exactly.. at that price it ought to be made out of pure zebra ballsack... i was going to ask Andrew, but not sure how to word the question, "Hey Andrew, does this watch strap suck less than all the others?"
  7. Take a look here: http://www.ttw-138.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=241_445
  8. If you look at this video: http://www.ttw-138.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=241_245&products_id=16739 It looks great, but one thing is holding me back for picking this up for my wife. The strap. If this strap is anything like the not so great straps us guys get on our watches, then there won't be an easy way to upgrade it as it appears custom for this particular model. So, in other words I'll be shit out of luck. Can you guys take a look at the video and offer your opinion? To my eye, looks like the type we discard and upgrade... pleather material. Whaddya think?
  9. Hey DC, does thing have any power reserve, or manual winding capability?
  10. DC - I exchanged email with Dan/Tim and they told me to loosen the screws around the perimeter of the case back, and i did, and when I loosened the screw at the 11 o'clock position, the rotor just popped and started to freely rotate. It looks like the tolerances on that case back are pretty tight.... so, I torqued everything down again ever so tenderly and gently.... and all is well. Rotor spins freely, and is well. It is a beautiful watch. Whoever assembled it... put a little too much torque on screw at 11 o'clock. AND YES, DC... I meant the 'seconds' hand - not the minute hand. Sorry...
  11. Hi DC - I just took out a loupe, and looked carefully at the rotor, and it actually looks slightly warped and there is a tiny scratch right where it is supposed to sit. the gap that should be around the entire rotor looks like it doesn't exist on one side of the rotor...
  12. DC... Got mine today from Dan & Tim at Fatpanda... your review inspired me to do so... I do love it.. just put it on ten minutes ago.... the 12 o'clock double stick markers look ever so slightly (and I do men slightly) off center to the right, but the diff is so minute, it's probably not even worth an honorable mention. I didn't notice it on the Q/C pics and even if I did, I think it would have been a little too persnickety to mention. It sure is thin, and I love that. Very handsome piece. I need to get used to having no minute hand as this is my first watch to have no minute hand. One thing I did notice is that the rotor is not rotating - and that might be a red flag here.... doesn't rotate.... If I am not mistaken, all automatic movement relies on this, right? Does that mean it is defective? When I took it out of the box, it did move freely... so, not sure what to do about that. Thoughts?
  13. Man on the fucking moon!
  14. Rolex Deep Sea Blue best REP 1:1?
