An ali and eta quartz experiment running fast..

Recommended Posts

So, I just got a watch from ali that I would either keep or give as a present. It was supposed to be prc 200 with eta quartz, but the 1/10 second just keeps spinning when the chrono is activated. Anyone know if this is correct for eta quartz?

That subdial measures milliseconds. It should revolve around once every second

On most watches with this type of movement, it will spin for a set period (up to 30 mins depending on the make) so that when you stop timing it will indicate fractions of a second. After the set period, it will stop spinning; however, it keeps measuring and when you stop the timing, it will move to indicate the appropriate fraction of a second.

Well, I have seen videos of this watch and the tenth of a second subdial does not spin around when using the chronograph. So no clue what is going on here.

Don't think this is correct behaviour. Shouldn't it only move when the chrono is stopped? Does that mean - and who could imagine this - it isn't a genuine Tissot? Mind you it looks nice. Stop fiddling with the buttons and it'll be fine.

Take the back off and see what the movement says. Should say G10

seems to be *maybe Chronograph G10.212.

Resetting the chrono is different than the g210.211. It works as the video here

Looks like according to google they used to have g10.211 in them but now they are getting the same movement as the newer tissot quickster watches which is the 212

My Mondane gen has a 1 second per rotation sub dial for the chrono, and my Fossil gen has a 2 second per rotation.
