Those black n white snakeskin patterns look really good, Ian.

Can't wait to see the finished product.

Actually, I think I like 'em as much, if not more than the gold...................

They are nice Russ, more a black and cream colour though. The only one I'm keeping is the smallest of them all for my Black Bay. Hopefully it will be the right size.

Finally finished this Purple Toady. 26/22. Under different light it's blue but to my eyes it's purple.

More Alien straps beginning to take shape. (Sorry about phone focus) Waiting on some different colour threads in the mail from Ali and I'll stitch these up. 30+ days already. Must be on the slow boat from China.

Thank you Russ,

After buying a 1000m roll online I was unimpressed. Not with the lume but the gauge of the thread. It was so bloody thin. The lume is impregnated into the polyester fibers as it is manufactured so it glows real nice. I was telling a colleague about the fail and he suggested I "spin" it. Like how rope is made.. I set about following his instructions and it damn well worked. It's now 4 times thicker than it was originally, tightly spun and quite usable as a stitching thread. Only drawback is the labour intensiveness of the spinning process. At least I know it works.

Sort of but I have not done the entire roll. It's more like spin as you go.

Got a little bored waiting for some supplies in the mail so looked around to see what was on hand. I knocked up this:

26/26 Brown Toad skin. One fixed and one floating keeper, tan waxed thread and natural sides.
