Prometheus Black Piranha - Photoshoot!

Recommended Posts

Gazzla

Hey Gang

Recently received a superb Piranha from those nice people at Prometheus. Amazing service from these guys in Portugal. Ordered at 10pm on Monday, delivered by FedEx at 11:45am to London on the Wednesday. Now that is quick!

Beautiful dive watch, excellent quality, comes on a comfy, soft rubber strap although I've some robust leather incoming; I'm not a huge fan of rubber. Lume: 8 layers of C3 Superluminova!! I can honestly say that this has THE best lume I've seen on any watch, and I've had few . . . :P

Here's the lowdown:

  • 316L Stainless Steel Case with Brushed finish
  • Matte Dial
  • Miyota 9015 Automatic Movement
  • 316L Stainless Bezel unidirectional with 60 clicks and applied C3 Superluminova marker at 12
  • Custom made PU Rubber strap with 22mm width
  • Case diameter: 44.00 mm without bezel
  • Lug to Lug length: 52mm
  • Case height: 14.20mm
  • Lug width: 22 mm
  • Signed screw down crown with Prometheus logo
  • Water resistance: 500 meters or 50 ATM
  • Sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating inside watch
  • Watch hands filled with C3 Superluminova application (hours, minutes, seconds)
  • Two Years Warranty

These are currently on offer at 23% off list. There's four dial colours, Black, white, orange and yellow. I'm sorely tempted to get the orange; I've been after an orange dial for some time . . . :D

Here's the link to their site: http://www.prometheuswatch.com/ . They have loads of other dive stuff for your delectation. ;)

Anyhow, enough drivel, some pics!!

I should have known better than to hit this post. Gaz could make a steaming pile of turd look good and this watch would look good in one of my crappy pics. Well off to there site to see if I hit the buy button, self control has been getting a wee bit better.

What a nice watch, those photos are so drool worthy, it's like looking in the brochure, but better!

Superb skills, and a really cool looking watch with some wicked lume.

(watch slowly creeps on to the ever growing hit list)

It's a hell of a watch for the money. Hefty like a diver should be, lume to rival KeNnY's (yes, I know it sounds like blasphemy), great PR and starts ticking as soon as you pick it up.

poor pic in comparison to Gaz's, but better setting (sorry mate!)

Great watch the Piranha, and a great micro brand Prometheus, I've had 3 !

I've just sold my yellow Piranha, and used to own a Sailfish also.

My third Prometheus is a rare Trireme white dial with plongeur hands, which is a great 70's style homage to the Omega Shom.

All 3 watches have been excellent build and super reliable with great lume. One of the best brands for quality v cost in my opinion, and I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

Bloody great pics!! Lovely watch too. I've had a couple of prometheus watches and can attest to the great quality and value for money. I wish they'd made a bronze in this model.

Really nice watch and picture as usual Gaz.

Quite a number of these micro branded Divers with 9015 movements around the $300 range including this, Obris Morgan,Deep Blue, etc.

I just got the Sea Ram 500 also 500M WR with 9015 movement, $300 or so; solid build, The movement does start right up.

Good stuff as usual G. Browsing the collection, the Manta Ray looks like a freakin' beast of a watch. Right up there with a Ploprof.
