frapzzor 2 Posted September 30, 2015 After reading the story @ Hodinkee (https://www.hodinkee...sic-true-second) I'm somewhat in love, and even though the movement seem to be a minor ingineering wonder this should be easy to rep, just slap a quartz movement in there and no one will notice the diffrence, if they don't turn the watch around that is. loving the clean look of the dial and the sleek hands. If they deside to rep this I'll be first in line. And hopefully they'll rep the Geophysic universal time aswell. what do you think gang? do we think they'll rep this? Unbelievable. yeah I would never pay 9000$ for a watch that looks like a quartz. but you got to hand it to them for how overcomplex they've made it. it would be easier even for them to just slap a quartz movement in there and a sticker of a mechanical movement on the back then to go the long way. but in the end that should make it easier to rep! It's been retired ever since I had it on one evening when I took a spill on a motorcycle. Daywatch 4 Posted March 14, 2016 Great looking for making 2 reps out of them. For JLC - 60 additional, mechanical parts to make it look like a quartz ticker, than call it true second? The ticking second hand goes on the nerves and it is the only thing that keeps me away from the quartz reliability. Sure, I like to look at the beauty of mechanical wonders, but one thing is to look and another is to pay for, maintain and keep them running like they should.
