l3wyh 0 Posted October 8, 2015 Just spotted this one on eBay, to me it screams fake. Placed in a tag repair box, and movement as Quartz. Also I'm pretty sure these have the open display rear. I may be wrong but feel free to take a look and report as well http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/262072492469 I have reported it to eBay as there are bids on it already, hopefully it will get pulled before people lose some serious money. Genius 281 Posted October 8, 2015 Just emailed the seller Hi Just thought I'd let you know the watch you are selling for your mate is actually a replica and not a very good copy either, it should have a display case back and look something like this http://s3-us-west-2....ibre-1887-3.jpg the one you are selling is a cheap quartz movement. Very naughty of your friend letting you sell it for him... Wonder if I will get a reply................

Skyman dave 0 Posted October 8, 2015 I would be worried by it coming in a box that says customer service and not the original box, not sure why you would need to send a Quartz watch back in for a service, and not many pictures of the face......mmmmm I smell a rat. Technically speaking: Battery replacement. My local (certified) watchsmith told me that you won't find it documented anywhere but when Tag seals the case in production they use Nitrogen ( I believe that is what he said it was) and that this process will add to the original battery life. Genius 281 Posted October 8, 2015 Got a reply from the seller Thanks, it does show the back of watch in Photo, and people are still Bidding So I replied with Ok but does it not worry you that the people who are bidding are going to get scammed as they think it is a real tag but it is actually a £50 fake Wonder if I'll get another reply...... Genius 281 Posted October 8, 2015 So I did get a reply.. I have looked on many Websites, and they do a Swiss Made Quartz like thus One. Thanks. My reply The fact it is quartz proves that it is a fake! CAL 1887 refers to TAG Calibre 1887 (the movement in the watch) which is a mechanical automatic movement not a quartz movement! Do your homework and stop trying to rip people off http://www.tagheuer....en/calibre-1887 Lets see if I get another reply or if he takes it down
kennycoder 97 Posted October 8, 2015 Jeeezas that one is horrible. I always wondered what happens when the seller receives the watch and wants to open a dispute. Can he keep the rep and get his money back?
