Any of you guys heard of "Corgeut" brand?

Manbush and Ali are carrying them, neither one of which I will deal with but the pilot looks like a great little addition

Another of those invented brands selling watches sourced from a variety of Chinese Manufacturers. Most will be available under various other brand names too.

Ugh, I just googled "man bush" and was not happy with the results :o

A lot of sterile faces lately. I have mixed feelings about it.

Any cabin would be the wrong cabin.

That dial doesn't look too bad.

Just got myself a fantastic BB Heritage homage from Manbus. I think it's a very good looking quality piece. (Close to 1:1, except from the name on the dial) I only needed to change the strap to a Mesh, and it shine like a star :-)

I just saw a post from the Watchuseek forum and thought I would share:

"A customer of mine brought one of these in to show me, and to ask my professional opinion of the quality. For anyone that is interested, this is it:

Outstanding looking dial, good quality Stainless. Sapphire crystal and aluminum insert. The crown has two gaskets, and the case back has the usual O-ring. The case back is not a regular Rolex die size. Inside is a brass spacer and Miyota 8215 automatic. The example I saw was adjusted correctly and oiled properly, something you can't say about Chinese versions of the Miyota in most cases, and the materials the Miyota is made of are superior to say, the Nanning or DG versions in every respect, from metal to jewels. Evidence of Fix-o-drop on the balance jewels and pallet stones, and again, correctly lubricated. The strap was garbage so we supplied the customer with a proper leather band, 22mm tapered to 18, for the deployment buckle, which does NOT have the Tudor shield on it. Fit and finish was excellent, better than a lot of Parnis watches I have seen, but I have several beefs, and these are they: Gaskets dry and unconditioned, blatant Tudor rose on oversize crown.

That addresses what I see to be the issues here, I have seen the authentic BB, and other of the Tudor modern models, and the quality is stellar, as you would expect. I am glad Rolex has distanced itself from Tudor, so it can finally become a brand on its own. The BB is a Heritage model, and I like everything about it. However, my main beef with the Tudor line is they are just a hair pricey for what you get. Realistically, I see the BB as a $2k watch.

Back to the Corgeut, we conditioned the gaskets, and are looking into replacing the crown or refinishing it for the customer. This does not completely eliminate any issues with intellectual property, as the design is current and making one this close is probably an infringement. Also, the dial includes the lettering and 'Rotor, self winding' script seen on many Tudors. While this may or may not be an infringement, the aim is clear: This is meant to pass as a BB from a distance.

At $139, it is a bargain, and overall quality is very good. Miyota makes a great workhorse of a movt, and we build watches with it as the engine fairly often.

Just my 2 cents."

I've got a Corguet BB Heritage homage on the way from eBay. Will upload some pics when it gets here which should be a any day now, ordered about a month ago.

Strap looks horrendous but I have a NATO waiting to be put straight on.
