Zelos Helmsman Bronze or SS will survive anything. I beat mine to death. Under $500 auto.

I'd go for this (half your budget) on M2M right now: http://www.rwg.bz/bo...howtopic=111637

Or this one, the cheapest watch on the market with this movement, and 500 meter WR:

Just another idea thinking outside the box but how about a TC sub?

I swim in mine, and saw either on here or RWI someone pressure tested one to 20ATM (as far as the machine would test to) so reckon it's a great choice if you don't already have one

Or if you don't mind going pre owned there's a few Oris divers for around or only slightly more than your budget

If you like this one, get a pre-order in for the forthcoming Borealis Estoril 300: http://www.borealisw...t=0&sort=normal

From all pictures on the site, it seem really cheap for the price.. Pics are not good and dont show the case back. (Borealis)

Borealis has a big following on the dive forum on WUS, and I haven't seen any complaints about quality, so I am hopeful they will be as good as one would hope! I am tempted myself, I have to say.

Nice pick-up, I love mine, it's soooo comfy and somehow doesn't wear 'big', despite being 44mm!
