fluxian 2 Posted February 7, 2016 Sorry if this has been covered already but I see quite a lot of comments on servicing, crystal replacement and bracelet smoothing so would love to get a handle on what a seasoned rep connoisseur does between the moment their watch arrives from China and when it makes it on to the wrist. Cheers, Fluxian

LunchMoney 1 Posted February 7, 2016 I read this post found by dendo's suggestion: http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=17441&st=0 You've been here too long to not know about the search feature here. You had to know people were going to tell you that. FYI, here is where you get a sticky ball: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/231210663875?ul_noapp=true&chn=ps&lpid=

fluxian 2 Posted February 7, 2016 Yeah I did look through that, just wondering if there's any other tips from members - what about crystals - do people generally replace and how do you source (apart from Profsteeve of course) and get the work done?

Left Coast Guy 24 Posted February 7, 2016 Yeah I did look through that, just wondering if there's any other tips from members - what about crystals - do people generally replace and how do you source (apart from Profsteeve of course) and get the work done? Why the F would you just replace the crystal for no reason? ProfSteve's crystal's are great, but for certain models the double AR isn't gen spec....so why make the change. It's really a matter of taste, and you should view it as such. For me, the watch shows up.....if there's something I don't like, I go about getting it fixed or I toss it up on M2M. So I got an AP navy theme, that's getting a new strap coming, had a PAM 127 I just decided I didn't bond with, its gone. Don't make things too complicated....just buy watches and mod them to suit your tastes...boom done.

SackOHammers 0 Posted February 7, 2016 Tighten the bracelet screws and any caseback screws (if relevant to that watch), make sure no bracelet pins are loose, put it on, and wear it. After a day or two of my initial cheese is gone, I do most of what is outlined here: http://www.rwg.bz/bo...=17441&st=0.... which means I take a screwdriver and mar up the slots on half the movement screws while tightening them, crease the o-rings (who needs actual waterproofing), and make sure the pubes inside the movement are placed properly. ag69 0 Posted February 7, 2016 Show it my wife in great excitement and recieve the inevitable 'looks just like all the others to me' followed by...... How much? My wife isn't as privileged as yours.
