Let's say you have beautiful IWC rep powered by an Asian 7750...could you then buy a ETA Valjoux 7750 on Ebay and swap 'em out?

I'm sure others will chime in but I don't think a7750 hands are interchangable with ETA 7750's unlike say 2824's & 2836's

Has anyone swapped out an Asia clone 2892 for a Seagull ST-1812?

If you like the watch is that something worth considering? Does the ST-1812 offer substantial performance/reliability advantages over the standard 2892?

a "gen" eta does not make a franken. Sorry to burst your bubble. That term has been used waaaay to loosely recently. Gen movement from IWC, dial, case, etc would get you on track.

The hands btw should be easily crimpable. There is a difference of about .5mm between asian and swiss )))
