Crazy hours...please explain the appeal!!

Recommended Posts

the_faz_man

I know we all have differing tastes in terms of music, films, and WATCHES, but could a Crazy Hours owner please explain why they are drawn to such a watch? I honestly can't imagine wearing it and having people comment positively on it. Please don't take this as an attack on the watch, I'm just freaking curious.

Who knows. who cares

Let me guess though. . Personal taste.

Why care so much to start a thread on it?

They are awesome, original to say the least.

Have you ever seen a movement like them? Jumping 4hours at a time, its pretty damn cool.

(I used to own one)

i think they're rather interesting. i did have a rep about two years ago, but it would jump hours about 10 minutes before it was supposed to making it difficult to tell the time lol.

Well today I learned something. I did not know that those watches had a unique movement - I assume in the rep world there is not such a movement?

I don't have one but I've been close to buying one more than once. I get it. If the right one comes up on M2M I'll go for it.

Why? It's completely nutty. Perfect for me.

They're quirky. People like quirky. I just don't understand why people buy Rolex subs. Most boringly ubiquitous watch on the planet. Snoozeville...

Taste, choice, preference. I assume you exercise your personal options which others may disagree on. Some like basic, stark, minimal. Some like complications, some like big, some like small. Some like gold some like steel. I don't get why you're puzzled about one particular watch.

I have considered a crazy hour watch a few times ..

the shape of the watch is nice too .. they seem pretty substantial. .

but I would think I would still look at my phone to double check the time ..:-)

Interesting watches...

So I'll approach the elephant in the room and ask in the video that was posted, what was the time?

Yes, a digital version would make it easier for me to tell the time on these crazy hours.

A guide dog would make it even easier for you to see your way through life...it can't be easy for you to keep stumbling along :B):

Just as an FYI..it is a 'digital display' !!!

You're right it isn't easy, but a guide dog would surely just guide me through life... not make me 'see my way' through.

Maybe my guide dog would be able to read the digital display too.

Thanks for your advice, it warms my cockles knowing that there are helpful members, such as your good self on this board.

'Helpful'....FFS....what school did you go to..where you failed to learn how to 'read' the time....Sunday school...dinner school...junior school

Any fool could see that it 'jumped' from 12 to 1 of the clock.....but not you....you're a special type of fool!!!

Stevie Wonder couldn't.... also my guide dog really struggles to read the time.

Thank you again for you roundabout way of answering my original question... It only took you 3 posts, must be a record.

However someone beat you to it
