RichardMiami 4 Posted September 6, 2016 Two weeks ago, I was lucky enough to purchase a Breitling Super Ocean Heritage 42, blue bezel, white dial. Reference # A1732116/G717 Specs: - 40 Hour Power Reserve - Self Winding Automatic Chronometer Movement - Breitling Caliber 17 - Vibrations Per Hour: 28,800 - Jewels: 25 - Polished Stainless Steel Case - Ocean Classic bracelet - Scratch Resistant Glareproof Sapphire Crystal - 200 Meters/660 feet water resistant - 42mm = 1 5/8" Case, Adjustable Bracelet - Case Weight: 86.65g - Case Thickness: 12.95mm - Inlet Size: 22mm - Uni-Directional Rotating Bezel - Luminescent Hands & Hour Markers - Screw Down Crown & Case Back The watch has been on my want list for a long time, but I had been undecided between the 46mm and 42mm models (apart from size of the case and bracelet width), the only other difference was the position of the date wheel - @3 for the 42 and @6 for the 46. I ended up trying both of them on. I have 7.5" wrists, so either would have been ok, but the 42 impressed me as cleaner in overall appearance. Many of my watches are 42, and my current largest is a 44 Breitling Super Ocean, so I stuck with the 42 size. The mesh bracelet is incredible. It fits smooth - you don't even realize the difference from a different steel bracelet. One thing that is different for this year is the registration card! No longer just a humble "credit card" type, it is now a Mission Impossible type electronic card. The screen on the card glows with the proper info, but over the warranty period, it slowly fades away to blank! I will let you know if it emits a puff of smoke as it self destructs..
