This BP looks nice! Any thoughts on how this compares to the noob version?

I've always wanted a YG datedate with white face, but I'm concerned with the gold wearing off fairly quickly. How is yours holding up so far? How much use has it seen? I was going to order the SS with the ice blue, but as mentioned above, the SS doesn't look like the WG on the gen.

This whole gold fading thing seems to me like everyone is worried about something that doesn't seem to be such a problem anymore. I've seen countless comments about people warning of the fade but am yet to see someone say "yeah mine's gone to shit, don't get the gold".

I am very new to the rep world but from my own personal observations it seems like much ado about nothing. Maybe the pain of some of the older reps fading is lingering with some of the older members here.

Maybe I'm wrong so please do correct me if you've had a different experience recently.

My first rep was RG and was warned about fading but it's going strong! I also have had QC's of this very watch sent through in the last couple of days and am eagerly awaiting it's delivery and fading will not be a concern of mine whatsoever and will wear it fearlessly :D

Well if that's the case maybe I'll give it a chance. I'm assuming you guys are talking about the much more expensive "wrapped" versions... I wonder how much better they are? I'm not sure I'd trust I was getting what I paid for in that regard!

I know my GF has a GY plated (factory) Movado that she wore to work all the time. It lasted about a year before it was starting to notable show wear through on the bracelet plating.

Which is the movement to get with the daydate?

This one is also on my list but i want the platinum and glacier blue version. I spend hours on Trusty's website looking at his selection. I think him using the video's to show most is very important why i will buy from him.

Great combination

I've got this in YG, RG and Ss, the gold versions are more accurate by far, as the SS simply doesn't shine like the WG or platinum versions should. Yes they are loud watches but fuck do they look good

You guys are killing me!

Sounds like the Asian clone might be the way to go, no? WM, which movement did you go with?

Are these waterproof? I do a lot of swimming/boating.

Don't swim with your reps.

And seriously this is not the type of watch one would want for swimming anyway.

This watch is for being a fucking boss smoking a cigar, not doing laps. Just my opinion.

LOL!

I hear exactly what you're saying, but I do some of what you're suggesting while boating too. It's just sometimes I have a few too many and end up in the water with the girls at the end of the day.

So it sounds like I'll have to stick to gens or known to be waterproof reps while near the water. Speaking of which, I understand the rep DSSD is waterproof, are the Noob subs or any other reps??? I should do some searching on what reps are waterproof.

Thanks guys

I've bought one with green dial rg and simply love it.

I think the golden numerals wouldn't come out that good on a white dial.

At least that's my opinion after having a yg AP 15400 with white dial

Simply awesome, I got mine in YG and it's my favorite in my collection. Agreed they can look "Pimpy" but when uploading pics with breasts, cigars and alcohol, what else can you ask for ?!

Mine says hi

Elegant, stylish, charming or just PIMPY!?

Guess the answer lies in the way you look, dress, walk and talk, so my opinion is: it is all about the person who wears it.
