Anybody have experience ordering from Taobao?

Recommended Posts

There's a watch I'm interested in ordering but I'm having trouble figuring out the ordering process (because I can't read Chinese). Has anybody managed to order directly from Taobao or is an agent recommended? If you'd suggest using an agent... which one has the best rates/service?

Here's the watch I'm interested in...

It's considerably less expensive than a Marinemaster with the same looks.

Cool, post a review if you get one!

You have to use an agent because Taobao only sells within china. The agent will buy it then ship it to you.

You can use google chrome to auto translate the pages but my understanding is that sellers don't ship out of china for some reason.

There are a lot of reddit pages devoted to buying from taobao.

Bhiner seems to be an expensive agent option. There are other smaller family agents that are cheaper.

I noticed that Taobao now offer consolidated shipping to the USA, Canada (me), Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and East Malaysia through their site it's just confusing as hell :giggle:

I'll check out Reddit for some more info and stay away from Bihner. The two agents I was just looking at are SpreeNow and SuperBuy. Just trying to figure out the final cost before I pull the trigger.

I bought one via Spreenow. All simple enough and cheaper than eBay.

That's not difficult. EBay is bleeding expensive these days.

I went on Spreenow and signed up to their stuff, then searched for 6105-8110 and made sure I picked the Sharkey.
