dfq23 123 Posted March 7, 2017 Some good prices here for proper Swiss made watches with sapphire crystals and 5 year warranty. Lot less than they usually are at places like Watchshop and First Class Watches Few of the ones that caught my eye: https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Mens-Watches/Swiss-Military-SM34521AEU-H02-Analogue/B01JYV0V7M/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1488879692&sr=8-5&keywords=swiss+military https://www.amazon.co.uk/Swiss-Military-SM34223AEU-H03MS-Stainless/dp/B01JYV10TU/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1488879692&sr=8-13&keywords=swiss+military https://www.amazon.co.uk/Swiss-Military-SM34223AEU-H02S-Analogue/dp/B01JYV10UE/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1488879692&sr=8-15&keywords=swiss+military https://www.amazon.co.uk/Swiss-Military-SM33786AEU-H01TXS-Analogue/dp/B01JYV168K/ref=sr_1_18?ie=UTF8&qid=1488879959&sr=8-18&keywords=swiss+military https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Mens-Watches/Swiss-Military-SM34208AEU-H05MS-Stainless/B01JYV10V8/ref=sr_1_20?s=watch&ie=UTF8&qid=1488880056&sr=1-20&keywords=swiss%2Bmilitary&th=1 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Swiss-Military-SM34222AEU-H01MS-Stainless/dp/B01JYV0V3G/ref=sr_1_24?s=watch&ie=UTF8&qid=1488880056&sr=1-24&keywords=swiss+military

RepGuy 108 Posted March 7, 2017 I never understood the need for Swiss made quartz movements. I may not know enough about quartz, but I thought it was just a crystal that vibrated, which leads to the noticable tick found in these movements. With the availability of reliable China made quartz, is Swiss worth the extra price?
Odyseus 1 Posted March 7, 2017 Really like this one But I know I wouldn't wear it got enough quartz watches that just sit in my watchbox That's the trouble plus they always look better in the advert photo, which I guess is done on a computer??

Odyseus 1 Posted March 7, 2017 Just got a Accutron II for about £130. Sweeping hand and more accurate than normal Quartz
sogeha 6 Posted March 7, 2017 I don't care what country the movement is made in, but certainly they are not all born equal, some are cheap rubbish and some good quality. I've seen a few Swiss ones that I wouldn't put in my daughter's Barrie watch. *Barbie. Curse you spellchecker.
