I made mine BIG BLACK PaRNIS glow in dark...

Hey all,

I always enjoyed this piece, I think I have it now for 6 years, and even that it was a cheapo Parnis watch, the construction is fantastic on it.

The dial is nicely readable with the black background and nice white font and large white hands. And also the monstrous size of 50mm is definitely a clock, an watch beacon, a perfect summer watch, to all to see

But it lacked on important thing, that I always love on watches from childhood, from the time when I had mine first watch on my wrist.

And that was LUME !

In the past I was afraid to go with the printed dial for relume, due to the difficulty of managing nice shape of the computer printing. But now mine hand is more steady, and I know mine limits. So gone ahead with it, disassembled the watch, removed the hands and overlume all the most visible white points I think would be great to glow, and now I have a RADIOACTIVE NIGHT BEACON on my hand.

Now I really like the watch even more, as I always was fascinated with LARGE glowing areas. And in Summer, when I will come from Sunlight to dark building, my wrist will simply GLOW :)

SO just wanted to share some glowing pics, for all you lume lovers like me.

Thank you for watching and sorry for clickbait if you wanted to see big black something different...:Whistle:

Wow!

Awesome job mate!

I wonder if lume could be applied on "Black" painted hands?

I have the exact watch with white dial and black hands/markings.

Do the white areas in lume, and leave the black hands over the top.

Thanks buddy ! :) The black lume is not that strong compared to white / yellowish / greenish tint lume as the particles are covered with paint. But yes, it is possible, the lume is mostly "Greyish" not totally black, similar like on the Sinn U watches with black indexes.

Nice job mate, I used superluminova on the Rolex rep ( refused to do the Gen due to it losing value) nice to see the comparison in lume, I find this stuff is still glowing after 7 hours, I had an easier job than you, them numbers are awesome mate, damn sight harder than my simple dots!!!!!!
