Apparently in this film he wore the Heuer crest on his racing suit and a square dial heuer monaco on his wrist ??

A square watch? How would that work? Surely the hands would get stuck.

Op, the Monaco is a very cool watch with a unique look. Unfortunately there are not any good reps. There are quartz reps that look okay, but tick. This is an example of a situation where buying a gen might make sense imo. They are $2-3k, and I don't consider tag a great brand, but this model is so cool and unique I think it should be considered. Good luck!

Also be careful with the corners, I've heard of squares rounding off into circles due to rotation. Jk

I bought a gen one a few weeks ago and within a fortnight I got rid of it.

I wasn't keen on it at all. I found it to be uncomfortable; it didn't sit well on the wrist and I wasn't keen on the look of it.

Horses for courses I suppose. Some will have a different opinion but that is my view of it.
