TDs comment on another TD

I asked one TD if they were prepared to price match another TDs offer and received an interesting reply as to why they would not price match...

"..... is well known in the market for installing used and reconditioned movements in the watches to cut costs and sell u people cheap"

I spent some time in Vietnam. Had great times on China Beach near Hoi An. The girls on the beach sold souvenirs, and if you ever asked one why she was selling the same thing at a higher price than another, you always got the same response. 'Same, same, better!'

you need to build up a relationship with your dealer to qualify for the discounts, the more you spend the more you save.

I suspect this has gotten somewhat lost in translation. Dealers do not build watches.

 

However, the BP factory are known for using reconditioned ETA movements in some of their watches, which may be what this dealer is referring to.

i thought the same initially but the watch i inquired about was a noob with 2836
