2836 stops running after 20 seconds

Hey! I just built my Tudor sub and the A2836 keeps stopping even though I have shaken it and fully hand wound it. Very frustrating and I would love some help

Hands catchin? Mainspring not keepin-da-power? Could be a smorgasbord of reasons pal, gotta be a tad more specific....

" Pprrrring pprrriingg" <<--- noise of the telephone

"Hello mikes auto repairs, how may I help you?"

"Hey garage oily rag dude.... my car just stopped........" :wtf:

Once it stops it will start up with a wind or a shake. Seems like it could conceivably be the hands catching but honestly I have no idea

Still a ton of reasons really, in your shoes I would send it to a fixer to have a look at

Does it catch exactly at the same spot on the dial, like always at the 24second mark?? (Second hand may be hitting something) or when the minute/hour hand are stacked (They may be touching) or is it completely random (May be a mainspring)

Check the stem length if its slightly too long it can cause movement to stop!

If it Runs okay with the stem out remove the Crown and take a tiny bit of the Stem off recrown the Stem and try again

In general how are you supposed to know how long a stem should be?

Check to see if the movement is straight in the case. If your movement/movement ring is cockeyed then you're putting pressure on the movement through the stem. Put the movement back into the case and clamp everything down, don't put the stem in yet. Look through the crown tube and see if the stem hole is dead center. If not, something is up.

Well now ive gone and buggered up big time as I accidentally dropped the movement on the desk... very bad.....

A small part fell out. And now theres more stem issues. Can anyone ID this part? About 4mm long

Anyone know what this is? I've looked up 2836 charts but can't seem to figure out what it belongs to

Looks like a part of the clutch lever broke off?

If its part of the clutch lever that would probably result in the stem being useless? Because its basically useless right now

I can't get which material is that (grey or brass?), nor size...

It may be (but bent) part of the keyless, or part of the day/date jumper spring, or even the hack lever...
