The real deal?

Hi guys,

 

 

Thanks for taking the time to look at this topic. I'm convinced that the following watch is fake or did I missed anything or any other points?

 

- font of the date

- the points at 12 seems to be a little bit smaller

- the hight of the bezel, which is larger on the real thing.

Unfortunately not an option in this case. I do know the latest versions already come with an updated font as IWC uses a slightly different font than the standard ETA's. This was the first thing to let me think it is a replica.

 

Also no certificate and seller found the watch at the attic. So the whole story is already a bit shady, owner found it on the attic. Supposed to be from a deceased family member.

Ask the seller to send a picture of the watch with the back open. Let him know, If it is real, you will buy it.

 

You will get your answer quickly if he balks.

After all the watch seems to be real and I was wrong, but better safe than sorry. ;)
