Helmut Wong 36 Posted May 20, 2017 (edited) Hi All, Decided to go for the ZF factory version of this watch on Mary's recommendation. She feels it is superior to the Noob version. She sent me these factory promo pics ( not quality control ), thought it might be interesting given the lack of info on the ZF watch. Helmut Wong 36 Posted May 20, 2017 English? Nice red arrows, but I don't know what I'm looking at or for. My chinese is a bit rusty these days but my guess is that its referring to the alignment of the numbers which is known to be a bit off on some of the noob watches. Maybe someone can actually speak Chinese instead of guessing what the text is stating based on what the red arrow is pointing to. It could just as well be "this is a triangle, on ZF it's a triangle too." :)
Wriggles 12 Posted May 20, 2017 Well Mary says its better and she can understand the pics. So she believes it's better which is pretty well good enough for me. That said as it's promotional material it may be the usual marketing BS 'ours is better my friend' but it looks pretty good to me
Sealdoggy 1 Posted May 20, 2017 Price is $438 on Josh"s site, dang it, now I'm in trouble again, Fuck! I believe I might have obsessive compulsive behavior

Definitely those who are fans of the BPFF would be able to determine which version is truly better, in the end.
greg_r 81 Posted May 20, 2017 Nice to see that ZF have produced the deployant, too - one of the things that I wish I had on mine (I have the original noob version which some folks reckon is better than the more recent ones). Looks good. Enjoy it when you get it!
tempua2 0 Posted May 21, 2017 what my dealer told me that the new zf seems to be more accurate than noob. which i am not really sure. price wise zf will be slightly higher than noob, about 50usd. any1 can do a comparison on both?

The ZF came out one week ago, and I doubt one that already has a Noob one will invest other 450$ in an identical watch.

ShovelnTC 31 Posted May 22, 2017 Price is $438 on Josh"s site, dang it, now I'm in trouble again, Fuck! I believe I might have obsessive compulsive behavior Well I don't think I've got OCD but I know I suffer from ESD (Excessive Spending Disorder) but unfortunately my watch spending is on hold due to other more critical needs but I do so want one of these. Still possible for a Noob owner to buy this, compare the 2 and sell the lesser of the two reps.
G_sus 549 Posted May 22, 2017 Looks lovely, but again, something I will no doubt never pull the trigger on due to price One of the few watches ive always fancied, but due to there not being a 'middle bidget' version, il miss out on...
Slink73 6 Posted May 23, 2017 Does anyone know what is so special about the FF that warrants it always being in the $450+ category. Is it specialist tooling the brand itself ( being more coveted but rarer than rolie) or are we just being stung..? its a relatively simple beast witha closed back. I love it but just can't bring myself to call the TD and get one... fk - how do you delete a duplicate- chrome assed weirdness!!!

GenTLe 1,501 Posted May 23, 2017 What they claim is that the real sapphire bezel insert is very hard to make. The rest is market rule: the mix between sought after model and good execution rise it's price.
Helmut Wong 36 Posted May 24, 2017 I held a gen yesterday while in bond st. It is a surprisingly simple watch. Very nice though.
Helmut Wong 36 Posted May 24, 2017 Mary informed that Zf haven't released the watch yet. Hopefully some good news soon.
