Your Perfect 3 Watch Collection

Recommended Posts

I'm bored, let's play a game...

If you had to pick just one watch from each category, what would your three watches be? Pictures make it more fun!

...these are mine as an example

Mine is two and I own one already, one is the santos as it's so versatile it can be worn with any kind of attire, the other was a Daytona but I'm now leaning towards a 116113!

Crazy! I had this exact thread a long time ago when i first joined :lmao:

Heres what i had before

The first watch i went with is a Vintage Datejust 1601 or 1603. My reason for choosing this watch is, one it is a timeless design and two my love for vintage watches will never fade, and three obviously keeping it simple because my choices have to fit almost every attire i wear!

20161004_134209_zpslcvwl13r.png

Second watch would have to be a 39 mm Ap Royal oak 15202, we can always argue about the 15400 wearing too big or the 15450 wear too small, but i think we can all agree the Jumbo is one of the most beautiful and perfectly sized royal oak out there!! Also could be dressed up and down.

And finally call me crazy for calling this one my daily beater, Rolex Gmt 6542. My reason is simple..... as watch lovers we love to use the functions of our watches, even with technology the function of a dual timezone is still extremely fun, my second reason is this watch is probably the most beautiful vintage Gmt i have ever seen in my life, and my favourite watch of all time!!!

I don't think i would change a thing tbh!

@childishthing I just realized you actually answered this question on my thread before! You should compare what you choose back then and now, crazy how tastes develop over a period of time!

Man you sure did take some heat for that!

And Childishthing certainly was Rolex-centric back then, wasn't he!

I must say I do find these threads a guilty pleasure as they give me ideas for more purchases so I'll play....I kind of have sporty and casual in the same bracket but I'll keep to the format....no pics though but you ALL know what they look like anyway!

Casual - avenger seawolf grey dial or big pilot top gun

Sporty - avenger seawolf cobra dial or CrPO

Dress - seamaster AT James Bond (I'm weak in this area!!)

For the same categories, these are on my wish list:

Casual - avenger blackbird (when a good one comes!) or big pilot marimar (with glossy ceramic like gen)

Sporty - nice diver like an aquaracer

Dress - maybe a carrera or an Iwc mark xvii

No interest in the very high end brand reps as I only go for reps of watches I could afford the gen of....
