I wish there was a 22mm Omega tang out there. This one stolen from the NATO is terrible.

Same brand, it's Quartz but apparently has a nice sweep

Looks like a good buy PLUS it has a date at 12. I'm satisfied with mine, t. It's a little heavy but is VERY comfortable on the wrist. For the asking price, you really can't go wrong. If you buy this, we'll be expecting pics, of course,

I just bought a case from Silix. Case 5 but it has been drilled and reshaped. Bezel brassed with a torch. The dial was one I think was on a stock Silix watch I bought a long time ago. I was cleaning up and was going to toss it but figured I'd age and relume it for fun. Turned out to look absolutely nothing like it did to start with. The hands are gold ones from somewhere that I aged and relumed. Bleached the insert and made the pearl with lume and epoxy. Dudes on RWI are charging $400 for stuff that looks half this good.

It's Friday, Gang, so let's live it up!! Friday's "two-fer" is this under $20 CURREN day/date picked up from the Bay, inspired by the "$20 or less, let's see them" thread over on WUS: LINK: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f71/20-dollars-less-lets-see-them-936070-30.html

I found this thread VERY interesting and very informative. The CURREN is a quartz powered gem, using a Seiko/based S.Epson or SII movement (can't remember which & am NOT going to pop off the case back again to look). Keeps very good time, with the day being tracked by a vertical red dot, and date -- both of which flip over. The watch case is a 47mm x 14mm base metal case, I believe, mounted on an attractive and pliable "leather" strap. Pretty nifty! The other "two-fer" is this ROLEX 5517 Sub, I believe, I use as an occasional gym watch. I had a new DG 2813 movement implanted a few years ago & it hums along very nicely.. dave:
