GEN Omega Constellation Pie Pan - Help needed (Crystal)

Recommended Posts

Mr. Genesis

Hi everyone,

This weekend I got the greatest deal of my life and got the chance to buy a beautiful gen Omega at a really good price! I'm super happy about it and still can't believe that it's mine! :) Now, I would like to change the crystal because it has a few scratches, but it got me thinking.

Would it be okay if I just go to a local watchmaker to put a new crystal or I should not consider putting a crystal that's not from Omega?

Thank you very much for your help/opinion and have a great day :)

This would be a few decades old I presume? It's vintage, let it show it's age.

If you really wanted to do something maybe a bit of poly might improve matters.

I wouldn't personally change it

Yes, it's from the 60's! I found out this morning that there's a little omega logo in the center of the glass and it changed my mind. I think I'll just polish the crystal a little bit to remove the tiny scratches but leave the big ones to show some history. :)
