This one is £98 and an auto which seems good value. The non screw down crown isn't ideal but doesn't really bother me. Any other ideas? Experiences?
NCRich 13,747 Posted June 15, 2017 Enjoy your trip. I never worry about that since I don't wear a watch on the beach as it leaves me with a rather stupid looking tan line on my wrist. I'm sure a Timex Ironman would be even better if the time is that important on the beach. I'm going diving next week on a sailboat and I am not taking a watch. Island time mon. Something to think about for sure I know time shouldn't be that important but I'm with my 5 year old and he needs feeding from time to time, being all inclusive I'd wanna get back to the hotel for meal times
Thrichar 47 Posted June 15, 2017 G-shock or an SKX007 - both a bit more resilient (not that there is anything wrong with a seiko 5!).

Or an Skx I think I'm going to go for it, also going to get a sapphire crystal, sub style bezel insert and Mercedes hands, looked online and all can be had for $60-$80 here: http://www.dagazwatch.com/apps/webstore/search?utf8=✓&sort=&query=Snzf+ Il do a before and after comparison too :) Skx007 or 009. Get a screw-down crown at the sea...valid point, but I'm digging the simplicity of the urchin

elp 26 Posted June 15, 2017 Fantastic for watersports, reliable quartz, depth gauge and water temp indicator. My go to for the beach or kayaking. Just stick it on a nato/zulu (if one of the pins pops you don't lose the watch) and you're set.
