GenTLe 1,501 Posted June 17, 2017 This morning a friend of mine came here because he wanted to get a watch for his father, to replace this old one that he used for 15+ years at work (and he is a builder!) and that I fixed for him a couple of months ago (the dial broke the feet and the movement was gaining ~90sec/day): This guy is a zero-tech man so he doesn't have PayPal and never bought anything online, therefore asked for my help and ended up getting this one: http://www.creationwatches.com/products/seiko-automatic-watches-69/seiko-automatic-sports-snk793-snk793k1-snk793k-mens-watch-2155.html 73€ shipped... Really... Then I'm sure his dad will continue to use the old one at work, so I told him to check for it on straps in case he will want to use it as "good watch", having him already a DateJust on gold/steel I mean, LOOK AT THESE!!! These watches are gorgeous, and comes for less than a fucking idiotic DW crap! What was I saying? DOn't know. But I like them. Cheers :)

Nhrob 0 Posted June 18, 2017 I have a bunch of Seikos from the early King Seiko Hi-Beat, to the skx007 to the SARB's to the Cocktail Watch and a couple of mint vintage pieces too. They are awesome watches with a lengthy legacy, in-house movements, accurate, fairly priced, they look clean and beautiful and they work beautifully for many years. As far as I am concerned, the Swiss Brand biases are just horological snobbery. I love Swiss as well, and the REP hobby allows me to own the styles I love without breaking the bank. Although most Seikos are of better quality, fit and finish than many of my REPS. Just gave my son a Seiko Turtle for his HS graduation last week.
