Cleebeauregard 2 Posted June 30, 2017 What a completely asshat move by Photobucket. They're not just extorting members to move forward, they're basically stating that all of the efforts their members have put forth in the past to post images on 3rd party sites will be eliminated unless ransom is paid. From a business standpoint, this is brand suicide, plain and simple. This action will have devastating consequences for them-- members will abandon their accounts en masse, site traffic will drop to almost zero, which advertisers will immediately respond to by dropping out, and that will be the end-- if Photobucket even exists six months to a year from now, I'll be amazed. edwinowl 180 Posted June 30, 2017 I've mentioned this before. I know f.all about tech but I work from my I pad and use phupp. Photibucket crashed for me a year ago, piece of shit It's bloody brilliant. Just saying.
RepGuy 108 Posted June 30, 2017 Will you at least buy Photobucket breakfast the morning after you've fucked it?
purger72 0 Posted June 30, 2017 Funny thing is when I go log in to PB account it doesnt ask me for $400! Instead gives 3 option and cheepest one is $59 a year and 10 gig space! With recent cyber attacks and hacking in to Australias buisness computer systems apparently by N Korean hackers it may be that Photo bucket is hacked as well? Just a possibility as it is very wierd they would demand $400 a year just all of a sudden!
Sifu Whitey 53 Posted June 30, 2017 400 USD per year for fucking buggy and slow image hosting is ridiculous! Are you sure it's really $400? Like I said, I pay $30 a year and don't (at the moment) appear to be experiencing any problems...? I received an email two days ago saying my 3rd party hosting was disabled, but my photos were secure and 3rd party hosting could resume with a Photobucket membership costing $59.99 per year. Even that's 'effing ridiculous.
Sifu Whitey 53 Posted June 30, 2017 Is there anyway the form administrators can arrange for direct posting of pics like some other forums have, or does the hosting program not allow it?

Just a possibility as it is very wierd they would demand $400 a year just all of a sudden! 3Rd party hosting is only allowed on the most expensive plan Only plan where 3rd party hosting is allowed is $40 per month = $480 per year :o or the bargain price of $400 if paid up front
