WatchaholicMallorca 2 Posted July 10, 2017 So the crown has fallen off of my inlaws Navitimer, it's not a screw down crown, and the stem is still in the watch, off on holiday in a few hours so not great timing. Any recommendations?
edwinowl 179 Posted July 10, 2017 Depends if the stem has broken in the crown, can you see through a loupe if there's any left in the crown ?
ryaku 3 Posted July 10, 2017 Is the stem broken inside the crown? If not, it's a very easy fix - remove the caseback - extract the stem from the movement - reattach the crown to the stem using some thread lock Anyway, in the meantime just leave the watch in a closed box to prevent some dust to go inside
WatchaholicMallorca 2 Posted July 10, 2017 It appears that the stem has snapped off, I don't have it in front of me now but judging by the picture I attached I can see the stem in there. I'll have a look again shortly. If not will try to reattach the crown. Cheers!

Rx4Time 1,472 Posted July 10, 2017 I thought that gens were perfect and never broke! It's a beautiful watch, hope the stem did not break off in the crown.

WatchaholicMallorca 2 Posted July 10, 2017 He just pulled the crown out to set the time, as it's not a screw down it just doesn't pop out when unscrwed you have to physically pull it out. Shame really, he's now wearing my V7 Hulk !
edwinowl 179 Posted July 10, 2017 Can you get a close up of the crown where the stem screws into it ?

Daffy 105 Posted July 10, 2017 It's not worth fixing, so just trade him the Hulk for it. Then get a new crown and winding stem for your new watch. :P
BadPickle 2,657 Posted July 10, 2017 Are you sure there's a piece of stem in the crown? Looks to me like it's just come unscrewed
