Tenerife trade-in due to timing trouble...

Recommended Posts

Del

I posted the other day about the Certina DS Action Chronograph Precidrive that I bought while on holiday in Tenerife.

Unfortunately, the watch had a problem and was losing time so the shop took it back and I bought the DS Action Automatic instead. :)

Similar blue colour to the Precidrive, similar spec too at 43mm but with an ETA 2824-2 inside. Different bracelet too, which I think I actually prefer.

Unless it was just a matter of the light not hitting the dial just right on the first one I like this one better, looks to be a blue sunburst.

Thanks guys. :)

This is probably a better watch tbh.

I love the blue dial too - looks great in the sunlight.

That looks good Del, somewhat like the Longines Hydroconquest range.

Lucky you were still there to trade it in. Weird, a new quartz losing time.

Very nice, love it!

Am I correct to assume the bezel markings are lumed? If so, that's wicked!

Yes, pleased I bought at the start of the holiday!

It was very strange with the quartz. I thought I'd set it incorrectly the first time (by 5 minutes!) so carefully reset it and the next day it had lost about a minute and a half so there was certainly something amiss. The shop then tested it for a day and it was ok (go figure!) but by then I didn't trust it so they agreed to exchange it for the auto. :)

Yes, first 20 minutes. Looks great! ;)
