Davesjourney 27 Posted September 24, 2017 Another fine afternoon/evening in the company of some fine fellow watch nutters: Pickeldbeetroot, ROLIE, Piccolo, Genius, Metal Mickey, Black 263 & Mrs Black 263, Madbadger, Spike, R3W1nd from RWI & pcs1878. Some great watches on display, some top banter, ale, food and truly encyclopaedic knowledge of horology! Oh, and Spike was there aswell And now for some pics: (Any resemblance to persons named, pictured or mentioned is purely intentional and all up for ridicule!) 1st off, ROLIE's Ball (oo-er missus). Think we all liked this one, especially the engineering and finish. One of my fave watches of the day But then again, his EBEL was quite tasty aswell. If anyone has a 1911 BTR with the yellow hands and leather strap with matching yellow stitching that they no longer want - please forward to me immediately! Black 263's Seiko Monster Diver was really cool. How it changed colour in different light (although stay tuned soon for a new watch which does change colour in the light! More on this in next few days) Another favourite was R3W1nd's Juan Pablo Montoya AP. Think we all loved the carbon fibre touches to this one. Madbadger's 1960's all original Mido was pretty special with a great story behind it. Wish I had a piece as sentimental and as cool as this. Only watch I've ever seen which confirms it is 100% waterproof and not just to 100m or so. ROLIE's A Lange & Sohne was also tres nice! Before yesterday, I didn't really like Bell& Ross watches, wrongly assuming they all had a squared off appearance. However, I loved these two and also have a new found love for rubber....on a strap aswell! (No, not a strap-on, Spike!) And now for a few mug shots.... Top day.
