For today, inspired by other mates' showings of theirs, my very old ROLEX SUB SHARK, that some of the old timers on the Forum know started out as my second rep "POS" before I found this forum(s). My friend the jeweler gave it to her watch smith to get functioning again, which he did. I switched it over to the blue bezel insert myself. VERY harrowing experience!! Discovered I'm all thumbs. Live and Learn. dave: Interesting dave 47, the case has drilled lugs! Is that a Maxi dial? Also, does that insert fit properly? The outer edge of the insert appears to be proud of the bezel between 4 and 10. You mentioned it was difficult to fit, on my Shark it was a doddle, maybe I got lucky. Yea, the older ROLEX Sub cases had drilled lug holes prior to 2007, I believe. This was one of those old ROLEX SUBS. I believe it is a maxi dial, as the hour markers are much larger than other Subs of its age. And since it's been nine years since I struggled with this insert, I'm not certain if it fit the bezel properly. Apparently, you spotted something I hadn't noticed. Still, to the average shmoe on the street, I don't believe they'd notice, let alone know anything about Subs. (Think: "99.99% Rule.)
