Treated My Regmariner to a NATO...

Recommended Posts

Griffo

So i'm totally in love with my Regmariner (a month or two ago i said i hated Rolex and their designs and thought they were "for old people" ).

I'm going to Rome in a couple of weeks and it's going to be incredibly hot, and i was thinking a bracelet or leather strap would make my wrists sweat like hell (rubber is also off the list as i've worn a rubber-strapped watch in a hot country and it was horrible), so i thought a nice alternative would be a NATO.

I got the Watchgecko Zuludiver in the latest Bond colours (I've only just seen that they do the original/vintage Bond colours :( )

I got it from Amazon for £16 with next-day delivery (I subscribe to Amazon Prime) and i'm really impressed with the quality of the strap and how comfortable it is. I could forget i have a watch on it's so comfortable (hopefully the pickpockets don't use this to their advantage!)

Here's some pics...excuse the finger marks on the bezel!

I regularly swap my various watches onto NATOs. For my smaller, lighter watches I find them especially comfortable, it I can find them not as stable as a leather strap if my watch is too tall/heavy.

I don't think Rolex is designed for old people. It is classical and beautiful.

I'm definitely a big Nato fanboi (not much for the Zulus, tho') and there is hardly a watch in my collection that I have not a least worn once on a Nato...yes; even the dresswatches...and although that may seem quite a bit weird considering a lot of them come on beautiful bracelets or 'gator straps ab factory, there's just some kind of understated contrast in a great looking watchhead on an out-of-the-orderly cheap(ish) Nato, that I find really attractive. So there...;D
