LightGeek 25 Posted August 5, 2017 Ok that's a regular drill bit but anyway... Removed the permanent link pretty easily with side cutters but found the hole was too small for the screw pin. Is this normal? I see the gen guys do this but no mention of having to enlarge the hole after so I think it's a rep thing?

OldOrleans 0 Posted August 6, 2017 I am new here but I have experimented with bracelets before. I had this same issue when I tried to change clasps on a bracelet. Things that you could try Use a different screw if you have any around Oil the screw Use a nail files to evenly make the screw smaller(took me 5 hrs but worked in the end). It you can drill new holes or enlarge them, give it a try but do everything else first.

I was just surprised it was needed after reading all those posts in the gen forums and no mention of having to do that. Must be a rep thing.

golfa 0 Posted August 10, 2017 As a preventative measure to prevent those tiny screws falling out of my Omega's bracelet, I've painted on a drop of woman's clear nail hardener on every screw head.
