Fuck me $2k for an invicta

Which parts are made of meteorites?

The price will drop by 80-90% soon enough. Part of the stigma attached to Invicta is with their pricing structure, which can turn an uninformed buyer off before ever setting eyes on an Invicta in person.

It's hard to get behind a brand when they don't even believe in their own value. For example, they may list a watch at MSRP $1300 for a quarts or auto Pro Diver model. That's all well and good on its own... many brands set high MSRP's in an attempt to convey quality and exclusivity, but Invicta takes it a step further with their price cutting.

This model may be released and retail for that $1300, and some unknowing person may actually buy it at that price, which is fine. The problem comes from Invicta's almost unrelenting "sales" and other price drops until the point where that $1300 watch released a few weeks ago is now down to $70, all within this short amount of time.

This results in two things:

1. People who are knowledgeable about the basics of watches and movements see this lack of realistic pricing for what you get. At $1300, that Invicta with a Seiko auto movement is a rip off, but when the price drops to $70, it's a good deal. The thing with this is that some people keep waiting for Invicta to further drop the price (and never end up purchasing due to expecting further price cuts), and others (like me) don't want to play the game and just write off the brand as a whole.

2. Possibility two is that uninformed buyers may buy that watch at the original MSRP of $1300 and get ripped off, or buy it at $70 and feel that they got the deal of a lifetime. Both of these scenarios are fine with me, as it's how capitalism works, but it has the potential to leave a bad taste in the buyers mouth.

I acknowledge that Invicta is a massive player in the watch industry, but I was addressing their overall bad rap in the watch forums. I have no issue with people who buy Invicta, but it's just not for me. List a realistic price for the value the watch brings, and let me decide if I will purchase it at that price. I get that sales happen, but Invicta is on a whole new level.

TLDR: Invicta plays pricing games which keeps potential buyers away.

I have a couple of Invicta that I bought about 4 years ago, and are still my holiday watches. (Bombproof, waterproof, and I won't cry if they break, or get stolen)

Nice looker! Aside from their absurd pricing (as you mentioned) and terrible Customer Service, I LIKE the Invictas that are reasonable and are not the ugly monsters they make. In fact, I have SEVEN or EIGHT of them & love them; the look great on the wrist. Of course, I've often been described by family/friends as NON COMPUS MENTIS , but I DON'T CARE! As POPEYE would say: I YAM WHAT I YAM."

I kind of think RichardM would like it!

I know I do ... I've got the gunmetal version of it. Mickey ears on the movement cut-out - how could I not own that!
