Undinist 20 Posted August 12, 2017 To me, this is as unpleasant as seeing an open fracture on 24 Hours in A&E. https://forum.replica-watch.info/threads/jf-16610-lv-reserved-for-fredl187.387329/ Are there any replica sins which give you the nails-down-the-blackboard feeling? Undinist 20 Posted August 13, 2017 This is how it's meant to be, in a pic from the Rolex site - the mount just kisses the edge of the triangle but doesn't go over it. It's hard to tell from other people's pics because of the camera angle and the lens and so on, but in pic 2 of the RWI post it seems pretty clear to me that the mount has gone over the edge of the triangle. watch.aholic 538 Posted August 13, 2017 Mate you are comparing a 6 digit green to a 5 digit rep Rolex... Thus the inconsistency.

Foxindebox 464 Posted August 13, 2017 This ^^^ the previous generation had metal bezel inserts and look exactly like the one you showed before. The one in your last post is a ceramic model. 14 minutes ago, watch.aholic said: Mate you are comparing a 6 digit green to a 5 digit rep Rolex... Thus the inconsistency. Undinist 20 Posted August 13, 2017 Blimey, yet another reason not to buy a gen. At least with a rep you can pay someone to move the pearl.

black263 228 Posted August 14, 2017 OMG. This got me looking at my watches. The pearl on my Steinhart is nothing like the pearl on my Invicta. Have I been scammed?

Oh lordy. If we were comparing those two watches I think the pearl is the least of your problems. Let's see.. different case.. check.. different bezel... check.. different dial... check.. different bracelet... check.. As others have pointed out... they are different watches... and gen 5 digit subs have the pearl protruding over the edge of the triangle... gasp.. I never say things like this but.. Fucking noob Edited August 14, 2017 by rawbaws
Genius 281 Posted August 14, 2017 Ignoring the fact that this is comparing 2 completely different models.... The pearl on the 5 digit is not centred and does look a bit shit
Undinist 20 Posted August 14, 2017 Well, thanx to all for educating me about Subs. I've been reading reviews which compare the gen 116610 to the 16610 and none of them mention the pearl placement. They go on and on abut the bezel, crown guard, lugs and so on, but nary a mention of the pearl. Would you all say that rep buyers are more likely than gen buyers to care about all these little differences? Maybe the rep crowd are the ones who really study this stuff? I'm a bit gobsmacked that gen 16610 owners aren't horrified by their pearls.
Xpletiv 16 Posted August 15, 2017 The pearls I normally see are usually off centered...... that's because my aim is off..........
deju 1,873 Posted August 15, 2017 Hahaha "another reason to not buy a gen" Please tell me you're the mate down the pub everyone has that was going to buy the 2017 AMG Mercedes, but you bought the 1997 Standard model because the oil filter cap is superior to the new model... Admit it you're that guy! :lmao:
