Rolex 118239 - 36mm DayDate

Recommended Posts

I have a slew of 40mm DD II but they're just too big. Until recently, the 36mm DD were pretty rubbish (compared to current standards, in my opinion). Fortunately, or unfortunately for my wallet, a batch of "new" 36mm DD landed and I ordered two right off the bat. One is a full gold DD black dial and the other is the tried and true blue. Overall, these are fantastic and will displace 3 of my DD... I'll keep just the white quadrant dial one. Oh, and I never buy these with Rolex clone movements as there's no point. Just go for the AETA.

Looks fantastic! Wear it in good health mate. I'll keep an eye out for your old daydates if you post them on M2M.

That's a nice rep.

The cyclops appears perfectly aligned and magnified.

Could you take some more pictures from the back and showing the endlinks?

Is this the "bp top factory" edition you got or the older bp daydates?

You have any experience with the older bp daydates? I think they have better lugs, because on the newer ones they are slightly recessed like on a datejust 116234 even though they are nearly flush with the case on a 6-digit daydate.

Here are some pics of the older one in gold:
