Challenge: A Week on the Wrist

Recommended Posts

Griffo

We all have boxes of watches that don't get much wear, and i know some of you also switch watches every day (sometimes more than once a day!). I thought it would be cool to get a watch from your collection and wear it all week next week. Better if it's one that doesn't get much rotation and may make you realise what you loved about it when you first purchased it!

Who's up for it, and what are you going to wear?

I'm gonna' wear the PAM 416 next week, which i won in the supporter competition, as i haven't worn it a lot yet. I'll more than likely be wearing it on the rubber strap.

I'm off with my PAM360 - it's comfortable and a looker - it's manual as well so I need to remember to wind it up!!!

Nice, that's a looker indeed! How come it's not in usual rotation? Too many watches? :D

Genius

I like the idea of this....  But got too many to devote a full week to any of them....  Did 4 days with a mickey invicta last week, and 5 days with a seamaster pro the week before so now I got a drawer full of watches feeling neglected... Maybe I'll play next year

I've tried doing this and never get past 2 days. Had thoughts of having certain watches for certain days of the week. That didn't work either.

But im always up for a challenge, so I'll check my watch boxes tonight and decide on the lucky winner

I'm not sure I could make it either....too fickle.

What I do, every two weeks or so I'll take out three watches that maybe don't see much wear and leave them on top of the box, then throughout the course of the week, that's what I'll grab more often than not so they get some wear. Not foolproof, but helps to get some wrist time.

The ones that languish are the dress watches. I've got AP 15400 with Prof xstal that's never made it out of the house! Hard to slap that on for casual tuesday in the office...

Wear the same watch for a whole week?

Sorry, never gonna happen ;)

It's a nice idea in theory, but I love having a true rotation......

I don't wear any watch two days consecutively & I never wear two different watches in any one day (just my own preference)........

I also don't like the idea of any one watch not being worn within two weeks of the last wear.........

I wore my ROO panda for two weeks straight as I was after one for a long time but after that i change to another one every couple of days. It always is the case when a new one arrives, always get a prolonged amount of wristime before going into rotation.

That's not fair... that watch is drool-worthy.   I'd wear that for weeks!

I always use a weekly rotation :)
Each watch stays on my wrist one full week, apart the gold plated ones that I tend to wear just on certain occasions.

I can see why! Stunning. Love IWC watches but don't own any (yet). Even though the pilots are big, they seem like they still wear well.

If you rarely wear it, I would like to call 'dibs' on this one, splke!  *<;o)
