Watch on bracelet for my son

Recommended Posts

edwinowl

So guys with the dreaded X word not too far round the corner my son has stated he'd like a 'watch on bracelet' , he's only 12 but a big sporty lad so it's a bit of a challenge.

I know there's some decent bits out there currently

Whilst you guys are trawling if you see anything suitable give me a shout please starting my shopping early for a change :D prob up to £150.

Unless you know he's into watches, I'd get him a Casio GA1000fc. Should be in your budget, is virtually indestructible, and is nice and sporty.

I got a great modded Seiko from Andyboy for my 12 year-old last year (now 13).

No.2 son's 12th birthday today so I got him a Seiko SNK809 modded with Dagaz dial from our very own super-Seiko-modder Andyboy! :notworthy:

The standard strap was slightly too big for his skinny wrist (I guess he takes after me! :D ) so fortunately my back-up strap option of a Bond NATO worked better. What a fantastic little watch (37mm), and it even has a display caseback! :)

My first watch said Boy Scouts of America on the face  and that was in 1959............. It may have even been made in the USA or more likely Japan.......

I gave it to my first born son when he was 10. No idea who manufactured it. He still has it and once and a while he gets it out and winds it and it is still working.....

Lots of watches that tick the boxes for us enthusiasts. But what about an Armani?

My son has had two Tiger-Concept watches since the age of 13 now.  He has the Newman Daytona homage and the 5508 homage.
