SARB017 Alpinist - strap options?

Recommended Posts

Davesjourney

So - managed to grab myself one of these beauties today and was wondering what you lovely folk have done for replacement straps?

I'd love one of the Angus Jubilee ones from Strapcode.com but they're all sold out and looks like no longer an option.

Have read these:

http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.php?305081-Seiko-SARB017-Alpinist-bracelet-options

Any more ideas for some sort of really nice SS bracelet?

Cheers all!

Dave

@Davesjourney I haven't actually mounted any of these on my Alpinist, because I'm not sure if I'll keep the watch and didn't want to scratch the lugs ( I haven't even tried it on my wrist, not once, bloody OCD...). But it gives you an idea of what different colors of leather look like on it.

Yeah. I contacted them and they are actually very friendly and they really put a lot of effort in answering questions. They even agreed to lower the value of the parcel, so I don't get stung by customs fees and VAT ( 22% VAT plus 16€ flat for their "services").

Oh, I couldn't figure out the difference between the chamfer and the V-clasp and the nice lady replied that the chamfer version is more substantial. So I think the V-clasp is the way to go. Not a cheap bracelet, but I think it looks and feels way better than the OEM Seiko bracelet, which is not available for less than a hundred $.

You're welcome, glad I could help :)

This watch really got me excited and very busy lately, I've read the entire thread on WUS, tried many many straps, contacted Strapcode about the bracelet, ordered extra straps, but haven't even worn it once :D

I like to look at the damn thing, but simply don't see myself wearing a 38mm green dialled watch with gold indices..I can't convince myself to sell it either, so I think I have to order a 100$ bracelet first and THEN sell it with a substantial loss. Business as usual..:D

The Angus Jubilee has literally just arrived from Strapcode - and what a gorgeous strap for the Aplinist it is!!

Built like a tank with, in my eyes, quality engineering and finish.  It's straight onto the Sarb017 and is now my #1 watch!!

Kronos - they were super helpful and did exactly what you describe to the package.

Yummy. Super happy with this!
