Davesjourney 27 Posted October 17, 2017 So whilst on my travels in Thailand, I met up with an associate who's well into his watches and who was wearing a really eye catching piece. As the watch moved, the glass seemed to change colour dependent on the light that was hitting it at the time. He explained it was a relatively new thing called 'photochromic' glass, made by a company called Welder, and for whom he was the sole UK importer (he also deals in U-Boat, REC & Visconti). Italo Fontana, designer of U-Boat, is the man behind the Welder. I had to have one, and so did Mrs Dave and we bought two on the spot over dinner and drinks - well, they arrived today and I have to say that they look amazing and they really do change colour in different light! Mine is a WWRC812, dual time in rose gold, 42mm with a gun metal mesh strap and Mrs Dave's is a WRC107 in rose gold, 38mm with a sumptuous soft pink leather strap. https://www.welderwatch.com/en/collection/moody If anyone is interested in any of these, PM me
