It was a great day though, tried on some horrendously expensive watches and got to have a chat with Kari Voutilinan and Peter Speake-Marin (two watchmaking heros of mine). Lovely chap who took the time to talk me through three of his pieces. Arnold & Son. The most beautiful blue dial I've ever seen. The guy who showed me this was such a watch nerd, he even asked to try on my Hamilton intramatic The woman who showed me this Uhrwerk was gorgeous but by fuck, she needed to moisturise those hands. That MB&F HM6 is conflicting: Apparently only 4 of the "Alien Nation" version were made (each slightly different) and some collector scooped up all 4. It's one thing to own 1 and admire the workings of the movement when you pull it from the safe now and then...and another to actually wear one out and about, much less 4 in rotation.
