Known to be a problem. Avoid like the plague.

Stick to the trusted dealers!

Use the trusted dealers on here - that's why we call them TRUSTED DEALERS

Anything else needs to be treated with absolute caution.

Yes, I will stick to the TD's.  I? would prefer to use one who accepts Paypal.  Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks

Why so?  Many dealers offer discount for WU

Any of the TD's on here are recommended but not all take Paypal.

I use Western Union as there is an app for your phone and you get a discount from the TD for paying that way.

Plus Paypal is evil.  ;)

Yes but the WU then charges you to transfer the money so I feel like the discount just evens out does it not?

A necessary evil unfortunately...

Image the M2M shenanigans without it!

Exactly.  The discount evens out the charges.  With PP there is no discount, and most TDs charge a premium to cover their costs.

So I think it would directly depend on how steep a discount the seller is offering as well as the price of the watch. Otherwise you might end up overpaying with WU.

That may be so, but last time I used Paypal, I was charged the cost of the watch plus the postage, and then 5% on top of that total to cover PP charges.

Oh wow that sucks!! Why would the TD have  a PP charge on gift to f&f?

You send PP as GOODS - not GIFT.

My experience was exact same as above. Watch/Shipping/5%

In another thread a TD explained that they cannot get 'gifts' of large sums of money every day otherwise they would be flagged as suspicious.
