Thommo82 1,397 Posted November 20, 2017 Evening Ladies and Germs Recieved a (1989?) Titus 06-0481 today that I snagged from the 'Bay for $41 AUD Was drawn to this model as it has a compass feature controlled by the second crown at 4. I don't have the foggiest how to use it, I'm guessing you gotta line something up with Uranus and then you can find true north even when standing upside down in line at KFC at midnight. Quartz movement, not sure if it's ETA though. Case is 38mm without crown, which is about as small as I can go without feeling uncomfortably feminin. Has some scratches on what I'm guessing is plexi, which I will attempt to buff out. Scratches on bracelet and clasp are only noticeable up close, but I doubt I'll polish them out as it gives a vintage piece a bit of character with a scar or two don't ya think? Movement hacks, and though I only set it 5 hours ago, it is running spot on to the second. Here's a few pics for your greedy little eyes

Well done Thanks guys, I'm really happy with it. Looks better in person than it did on the eBay ad. Funnily enough, I was the only bidder! Reserve was $40 AUD, I put $60 on it and went to bed. Was pretty happy to get it for the price I did
Thommo82 1,397 Posted November 20, 2017 Have been polishing the crystal since I posted this, scratches still very visible, but getting there. This is going to cause me some muscle damage.....
TheTinMan 13 Posted November 20, 2017 I have a Seiko with a compass bezel. I was shown how to use it, but God forbid I ever get lost in the woods because I can't remember a word of those instructions. I just like the double crown look of the watch. Nice find, enjoy the watch, compass and all.

Got a couple incoming from the good old gate, and I found the Speedy, so pointsfor that are totally mine, but you will probably receive yours first.
